February in Michigan means cold, slush, and just general crankiness because it's been winter for just about long enough. So what's a girl to do to get through it? Get away from it, of course! So a long overdue trip was planned to visit Melissa out in the greater Phoenix area of Arizona. And the timing couldn't have been better. Valentine's/President's Day weekend gave us a long weekend to enjoy the warm weather and allow for Melissa to show her all of the reasons she loves it out there. And we took each other out for a "romantical" Valentine's dinner. Of course I was happy to come home to Eric and Winnie, and actually kind of happy to see the fresh new snow that had arrived in my absence. And today, the sun shines to show me that the end of winter is in sight, and spring and summer will be here before we know it.
