This is where we rang in the new year as well, hopping from bar to bar to try to find one that didn't charge a crazy cover charge but wasn't packed tight because it was free. Well, there weren't a lot of options in between those two, so we went for the latter and squeezed in for a countdown with a fun band and a couple of overly expensive plastic cups of champagne. Other activities included a visit to the A Christmas Story House and accompanying museum, a place full of photo opportunities, though the movie trueist in me thought of a dozen more opportunities that they had missed.

Oh, and there was that little football game. The game wasn't a make-it-or-break-it game for either team, but I feared my earlier brag that I hadn't been to a game that the Steelers lost...and for a while, it looked like I might break my streak. But the boys came through in the end and through a variety of weathers that we experienced in the four hours we were there, they won the game for me.
